Re: New Open Source MultiCart released
The memory mapping is correct. The question is: for development purpose, would it not be better to have a single 32K ROM that spans ROM1 and ROM2 without having to swap them all the time? At the end of the day, CreatiVision multicarts all are based on 32K ROMs, so at the end of the day, having them...

Re: New Open Source MultiCart released
Rastervision, thanks for sharing that. I'll do a revision with "THIS SIDE UP" on it shortly. Should be a quick fix :-) Seeing Clockmeister and my work used like this... It makes me very happy. I've also designed a shell for it but I'm a bit limited by my lack of actual 3D printer. I was able to get...

Re: New Open Source MultiCart released
She's a beaut.. no not the cartridge, my soldering skills.
The cartridge works nicely. I'm using a W29EE011 eeprom to allow quick testing of software.
It even works with a game I am developing.

Re: New Open Source MultiCart released
One suggestion would be to have "This side up" text.
I do see the pin 1 labeled. But, the board layout is different than a standard cartridge, which can lead to confusion.

Re: Standard cart to multi-rom cart
Is there a jumper that changes the cartridge from 2332 to a 27 series EPROM?
And if so, will it support an EPROM larger than a 2732?

Re: Can someone with original CreatiVision hardware assist the MAME/MESS project in conducting some tests?
You need the split the BASIC ROM into 3*4K chunks, swap the 2 16K banks, name them correctly and place them into a correctly named folder... From the command line, you can also do: mame64 crvision -cart basic82a.bin This removes the need to split it up and name it correctly. The only time this woul...

Finally succeeded!
I was able to test a game I'm creating, as a ROM image on the Dick Smith Wizzard, through a CSL cart and the audio interface. :D I ran into a problem with smbloader created WAVE files. They would either not finish loading or occasionally create a loading error. It turns out I needed to set the pulse...

Hey from near Chicago.
Hey all, I'm from the Chicago area. I'm a retro game collector and programmer. You may have seen some of my previous homebrew productions: Frog Feast for various systems, Sporting Clays for the PSX, Saturn and N64, and Defender of the Crown demo for the Gameboy Color, etc. I've been into console pro...
