Very welcome Seth!
Problem is the NTSC Japanese CreatiVision uses 110V DC power. The unit does not have the signal 'rectifiers' (diodes).
So if Seth has a NTSC-J model, our standard diagrams won't work.

I plan to dump (or have someone help me doing it) the BIOS of the Colecovision/CreatiVision converter and share it with the community, and maybe write a MAME driver for it. Interestingly, the basic shows green screen and black text. Can't be true as we all know. It must have been a fake basic program there :)

I would suggest the cart shell to be a little bit smaller than the original. If a couple of mm smaller it will fit, if bigger due to tolerances in production, it will be a problem.
