Well, I guess this is another target for an Arduino and some sort of digital switching
Maybe we design a board with a PS/2 port and 2 DE9 connectors

Re: Replacement Keyboard Project Update
Heh. Just to add some confusion, my numbers are back-to-front to yours. My pin 1 is your pin 10 and vice versa.
Easy enough for me to fix...
I'll check mine against your spreadsheet. I think mine should be pretty accurate as I've tested it with a "real" DPST momentary switch.

Re: Replacement Keyboard Project Update
I'll be honest, that was my first thought. It makes sense as a solution, and again, PS/2 to Arduino is already thoroughly solved. Only problem is, I wasn't able to determine how to bridge the pins. It doesn't seem to have a common ground rail or power rail, so my usual friend, "transistors" are prob...

Re: Simple Atari-Style Joystick to Creativision adaptor
This is awesome! Thanks for your research. I can also use some of this to start work on complete replacements for the pads.
Cheers!

Re: Replacement Keyboard Project Update
Well, it's going to be about $45 for the BCBs and the same for the buttons. I'm afraid this'll need to wait until June before I'll have that sort of cash on hand, folks.

Re: 16 way joysticks
Thanks for the feedback. It does sound like I'll have to aim for the full 16 way joystick, then. I suspect I'll have to 3D print something for the actual controller. My right controller is totally dead now, so I can pull it apart and see if I can work out the easiest way to build a replacement. I'm ...

16 way joysticks
Hi All, Now I'm in the closing stages of building my keyboard replacement, I was wondering if anyone had thoughts on replacement joysticks? My thoughts were to make a PCB to go inside cheap chinese repro Genesis controllers. Pull out the existing board. Drop in a new one. Done! The "unique" hardware...

Re: Replacement Keyboard Project Update
Hi Tom, Adding some sort of joystick adapter is definitely on my "to do" list, but I think the "version 1" will be just a keyboard, and a small one at that. I just finished all the routing tonight, and I'm pleased to report that I managed to complete it without having to add a single via. It certain...
