Re: Asian power supply repair
Hi, yes, sadly i have not found a cheap replacement... for the 9V AC part you can reuse part of an old Commodore C64 PSU... Or even adapt the internal Transformer of an old Commodore 1541 Floppy Drive (not the 1541-II) this "should" work for 9V and the 16V... Another option (if you like to modify yo...

Re: Asian power supply repair
Hi, If you try to build a new PSU (and feel up to the job working with mains voltage...) yes, the ones you linked from aliexpress are way to "weak"... the last time i built a replacement PSU (for a TRS-80 Model 1) i used 2 transformers like these: This one for the 9V 1A AC https://www.reichelt.at/at...

Re: Asian power supply repair
Hi, thanks for the pictures!
so you definately own a "standard" PSU :0)
Next Step:
Please open the Plug and look for loose / broken wires (i came across 3 or 4 PSUs with broken solderjoints over the years)
Cheers, TOM:0)

Hi Alugard, welcome to the forum! please also post pictures of the Powersupply-lable and of the plug (and where you measured exactly) Please be aware: 1) in Europe and Australia the PSU delivers two AC voltages (9V AC and 16V AC) have you set your multimeter to AC? the AC voltages are meassured betw...
