Re: Hello from Italy!
Yes, i play with different example and the code is cool! Would be interesting if someone move over the lib from cc65 to kickc. I've written a sort of TMS9918 library for my previous Apple1 project which I'm porting to Creativision, so I will also look at cc65 and see if I can recycle something :-) ...

Re: Deep Sea Adventure FIXED
first time I see this game, and I wonder how the smooth scrolling of the background is possible? I always thought that the TMS9928 was not capable of that.

Joystick/Keyboard matrix decoding
Is there a schematic diagram for the joystick/keyboard matrix? By looking at the datasheet (circuit 3.pdf) I see the PIA data ports are connected to J1 and J2, which I think are the joysticks connectors, but I have no clue how they are actually wired. My actual understanding of the decoding is (plea...

FPGA implementation
I'm going to make FPGA implementation for the CV (or at least give it a try). I checked various sources and it seems we have the HDL code for all the chips that are on the CV motherboard (PIA, SN, TMS, 6502). So it should be a matter of gluing all together strictly following the hardware schematic. ...

Re: creatiVision BIOS Quick Reference
what are the differences between CV BIOS and Laser2001/Salora one ? Do they boot differently? e.g. does the Laser one jumps to BASIC instead of Cart ?

Re: Hello from Italy!
Hi, you compare kickc with cc65? Or you just a kickc user) I think i will try to compare it because i read a lot about kickc. I need to understand how made the target file first. I love KickC, compared to cc65 it produces very efficient code, mostly thanks to the paradigm of not using stack for pas...

Re: Hello from Italy!
I'm slowly digesting all the info, and it's a lot of fun to rediscover this machine! I don't know how to describe it, but I have this strange feeling like a deja-vu as if I have been teleported back in the '80 in a parallel universe where Creativision was the machine of my adoption  With the BI...

Re: Hello from Italy!
thank you, the memory map is a good starting point, I will try to port/convert some of my 6502 related stuff. In the past months I wrote a Tetris clone for the Apple1+TMS9918 which I think it could be ported quite easily, though I see there is already a Tetris-like game (Block). Is there a disassemb...
