Re: Salora Fellow printer
It looks very much the same as the VTech Laser PP-40, but with different coloured case of course. That one seems to have been used even with the Laser 128, probably depending on the interface you need between the computer and plotter. http://www.trhonline.com/obscure/l128a.htm According to this page...

Re: Great TMS Video Chip Demo
It requires a 64K cartridge, just like their previous demos. Actually besides MSX, there doesn't seem to be a lot of demo scene going on for the VDP chips. The ColecoVision and ADAM people mainly program games. The TI-99/4(A) people do too, although there was a bit of discussion a while ago about ma...

Re: Where could you buy a Creativision?
Tonight I made a small discovery, while testing this latest Creativision system our association bought from a member's friend. The system boots OK but the left controller is entirely dead. It looks like the cable has been repaired and one wire is broken. I will measure for continuity on all the othe...

Re: WIP: Reversi
Hm. I never posted the latest WIP binary. Perhaps I'll do it soon, although I got to admit I haven't put any more effort into this game for nearly two years.

Good choice, although I find the sister game Flipull even more fun.

Re: Where could you buy a Creativision?
After one year of searching, I still haven't found the particular catalogue yet. Ironically there were plenty for sale before I knew I needed it. However I did buy the Ellos mail order catalogue for spring/summer of 1983 in hope that perhaps they begun to sell it before the first known advertisement...

Re: Using standard joysticks
Ok, then another CV myth is debunked! But I swear the Diagnosticart has a joystick tester program that will display 16 different directions, and not activate three at a time as soon as you move diagonally?

Re: Using standard joysticks
Mobsie wrote that his Color Maze uses all directions, for improved diagonal movement. As far as I understood, there are two sets of values to read: $11 and $13 = Values $40 - $4F representing each of the 16 directions on respective joysticks $18 and $1A = Values $02, $04, $08, $20 represent down, ri...

Re: Using standard joysticks
Creativision joysticks though have 16 directions: Up, Up-Up-Left, Up-Left, Up-Left-Left, Left, Down-Left-Left, Down-Left, Down-Down-Left, Down etc. When converting an Atari style joystick, games that only use the "regular" 8 directions will work.
