Dead Creativision (Was: Is this a factory mod?)

OK so I have swapped over the 6502 into my Apple IIe and it boots fine, so it's not the CPU. (I also tried it with the MegaSDCart, with no change) Looking at the schematic, there's a lot of things hanging off that data bus and, of course, none of them are in sockets :-/ What's the startup order for ...

Re: Is this a factory mod?

Thanks for that Tom,

PHI0 has a 2MHz clock,
RESET is going HIGH after a short delay. Presumably that's all "sane"...

I guess I'll need to pull the 6502 and look for a spare... I'll check if the one in my Apple is socketed...

Is this a factory mod?

Trying to repair a 700305H revision motherboard that has been "attacked" by the previous owner. So far I have replaced the track they lifted near the power supply connector, desoldered and resoldered properly the power connector itself and cleaned up a burn mark near the crystal. This I don't know w...

Re: adaptor for Colecovision

At least you'd be able to reuse the TMS Video chip if you can HALT the Z80 I guess.
One less component.

https://www.jaycar.com.au/smd-diode-sm5 ... 0/p/ZR1021 for the diodes.
https://www.jaycar.com.au/smd-tactile-s ... 0/p/SP0610 for the SMD tactile switches.

Hoefully you'll be able to source something locally. They looked pretty generic.

I just realised. I probably didn't let everyone know I'd updated the github!

If you're just after Gerbers to order...

Re: My homebrew games for the Laser 500 and VZ200

Ok so I couldn't get any to work. I converted them all to WAV (using CVZ2WAV), and ran them with "CRUN". They all loaded up with the same nonsensical name and rebooted at the end of loading. IMG20230116192920.jpg I don't have th 16K RAM expansion so it may have just been a memory issue, but in each ...

Re: Who would be so kind to test my 6 games on *real hardware*?

I'll stick these in my real hardware over the next few days and see how they go.
Again, thanks for putting these out here for the community.

Re: My homebrew games for the Laser 500 and VZ200

It just so happens that I have a genuine VZ200 at home right now. Happy to try them for you. It may not be today, but I'll definitely give them a go.

Thanks for making these for the community!
