Re: Lurch's Collection

So when do we see it on your youTube channel? :-)
Doing any mods to it? Presumably at least the Composite mod?

The capacitor underneath the lower RF shield

Hey Folks, I'm replacing the regulators on my Wizzard (Revision 700319) and as I removed that horrible lower RF shield, I noticed a capacitor underneath. It's popped it's guts. I know it was connected across two pins of the 12V regulator. Which two pins? I think it was 1 and 2 of the 7812, but I jus...

Re: KiCad

Hi Mobsie. Just typed in a LONG answer and my browser "ate" it :-/ I never found a "good tutorial" coming across from Eagle. Hi, are you sure? Because this one has no 36 pin part.
That's what Clockmeister told me. I have no reason to doubt him.

Re: I think my Japanese PSU is bad?

7805 would be where I'd start. They're notorious for failing.
(In fact I need to replace the one in mine)
Tempted to replace it (and the 7812) with TracoPower micro switchmode regulators instead. They run so much cooler.

Re: cool pcb board

Heh. I recognise the image. I'll ask Clockmeister. It's his prototype for our Megacart.

Hi Chesh,

maybe this helps... taken from my "always open" MKII...

Cheers, TOM:0)

Cheers for that! Is there a final letter on the HA17805? It seems in shadow at just the wrong place :-)
