Composite AV output planned!
Re: Composite AV output planned!
Hi,
i just tried the MSX RGB circuit again (on my TI-99/4A) and got it working this time!
The picture is not so great (slightly wrong colors and interferences).
But this may be a problem of my "flying" unshielded wires, will try again with better shielding soon...
I took the Y, R-Y, B-Y directly from the TMS9929 and feed the output of the circuit into the SCART plug...
The picture from my Composite modded TI-99/4A Modulator is up until now sharper and has better colors...
Greetings TOM:-)

Re: Composite AV output planned!
Too bad it isn't better than composite. One of these days I gotta try that. I got a bunch of different machines to try it on, Sord M5, a couple of MSX machines, TI99/4A, Creativision, Colecovision...
Re: Composite AV output planned!
Wow this is really good news.
Could you post a few pictures of the mod?

Hi,
News from the RGB project!
My french TI-99/4A RGB Modulator arrived today and it produces a cristal clear picture! (at first an the TI)
I have attached screenshots to compare the quality (sorry taking pictures of the monitor is not easy and some stripes (moire) happen because of resampling in the camera and in the scaling of the pictures)
TI-RGB: Really great picture!
Composite: Good Picture
Selfmade RGB: Poor Picture
But see for your self!

And my MSX RGB Mod... (part of the picture noise is because of unshielded wires)

Re: Composite AV output planned!
So... Maybe i can replicate the circuit in the TI-RGB Modulator... it is rather complicated ...

Re: Composite AV output planned!
It's so sad to read that the RGB output is not good for you...
I strongly hope that it's just a matter of missing shielding. Please keep me up to date, in case you are able to add shielded cables, and you notice the picture gets sharper!

Re: Composite AV output planned!
I saw you had posted the guide on the website.
I noticed a small typo, at one place you wrote "700139" instead of "700319".
Edit: The same typo on picture 2 for tutorial no 1.
