I have just uploaded 2 videos on my Youtube Channel:

- Hanimex Rameses running Stone Age with composite video output
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iMes0ZFQ5aw

- Dick Smith Wizzard, also running Stone Age with composite video output
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_mk6DXQxBJ8

The mods were made by my friend, Gavino Sechi. The former was made back in 2012, using 2 separate RCA plugs. The latter was made last week, using a minimalistic 3-in-1 plug.

The picture is sharp, and the sound is also perfect. I love these mods! :-)

Both units are available for purchase (video cables included). I want to sell them. (The Rameses is also boxed complete with styrofoams and manual).

How are you selling these and for how much? Would you prefer a PM?

Hi,

Today i inserted the RGB Mod for test reasons into my CreatiVision MkI... picture is very nice (the screenphoto is badly taken with o too long time -you even see the bonus number changing -, mea culpa ;0))

Just for the proof, this is no final solution (as you see wires are going everywhere and i simply lifted the 3 legs from the TMS, but i think there are better points to solder the YUV cables somewhere on the PCB without the need to socket or replace the TMS)...

Sweet weekend, TOM:0)

So you chose to get the YUV signal from the VDP, in place of getting the composite signal from the TBA520. This means that you used an external PAL encoder on daughterboard?

Whops sorry, is that an RGB output, not composite?

Yes, it is the external RGB Encoder i mentioned earlier in this thread (the MSXRGB shematic... previously i only tested it in an TI-99/4a)

Very cool stuff!

Is that a mod you have purchased "ready to install", or did you make it yourself?

Hi, i built the MSXRGB Mod myself (see page 2 of this thread... there also is a link to the original shematic posted)

Dezombiefying this thread, I Composite modded my Dick Smith Wizzard. Wow! What a difference!
I went for a reversible design. I have a 700319 motherboard.
I disconnected the RF cable from RF Modulator. I desoldered the +12V into the Modulator, to remove it as a source of interference.
I cut a thin RCA cable in half, and tapped it into the bottom of the PCB to a convenient ground plane and to the two points where the signal went into the RF Modulator and ran the cables through the hole where the RF Cable used to run.

Such a difference!
