Hey Folks,
I'm replacing the regulators on my Wizzard (Revision 700319) and as I removed that horrible lower RF shield, I noticed a capacitor underneath. It's popped it's guts. I know it was connected across two pins of the 12V regulator. Which two pins? I think it was 1 and 2 of the 7812, but I just want to double check. It's a 4.7uF electrolytic, 25v, and it doesn't appear to be in the schematic.
Any help gratefully accepted.
Chesh
PS There is no way I'm putting that RF Shield back on.

Hi Chesh,
on my MKII it is located between pin 1(Vin) and 2(GND) ... see pic...

Re: The capacitor underneath the lower RF shield
Just tested it and she's good to go. I did tack some connections to the various ground planes where the lower RF shield would have been, just to make sure the ground planes are properly connected. Probably overkill, but can't make things worse
Thanks again, Scouter3D!
