Cart for Homebrews...

Talk about programming CreatiVision (except games programming). Projects of homebrew hardware are also welcome.

Hi,

Yes, give me 20 min, i send you then.
Tomorrow i make better pic`s, not with the iphone.
And i can send you the card when you need it.
I think for the CV is the same way only other (6502) menue software.

Thanks Mobsie!

At the Moment i am deciding between different Options:

Flash or SRAM
USB or SDCard

I am in favour of SDCard / SRAM combination because for the Flash Version i would also Need a PC Software to build and Flash the Images...
But USB over a USB2Serial connector in combination with SRAM might be easyer on the Hardware side, but would Need a "Terminal Programm" on the PC side to Transfer the Images...

For my first tries there will not be a menue to choose from... but simply one Image on the SDCARD and 32K SRAM to hold it... so it wont be a "Multicard" but more like a "developement Card/Tool" without burning Eproms all the time (which would be the simple but tideous alternative :-))

Greetings TOM:-)

Today i bought myself a heap of necessary parts... now i start wireing the first things together...

1.step will be to build the SD-Card circuit i found on the Internet and test if i can read from a SD-Card to the ATMEGA
2.step testing to write/read from ATMEGA to SRAM
3.step Trying to read SRAM from CreatiVision...

For the first tests i will provide the Circuit with an external 5V PSU and add no bufferbatterie for the SRAM and i will insert a Hardware-Switch to select between "Program" and "emulate" Mode.
In later revisions i hope to replace the hardware-switch with a software-Switch and allow for programming while the Cart is inserted in the CV and use the 5V from the CV... but first things first...

Wow!
going on very fast.
You ask me to test the ColeoVision multicard if is possible to access as a normal USB-device.
I don`t found a normal USB cable for that, i think my last "Aufräumaktion" was to heavy.
I will get one cable on Monday, then i test.
