CSL Cart...

Talk about programming CreatiVision (except games programming). Projects of homebrew hardware are also welcome.

Hi, just a quick update...

Load and Save tests (Audio and Serial (Bluetooth)) (CSAVE, CLOAD, BSAVE, BLOAD, SSAVE, SLOAD, SCSL) are finished ;0)
Leaves the BASIC to be tested...
As i am away for a few days, testing will start again from the 17. April...

Greetings TOM:0)

CSAVE, CLOAD, BSAVE and BLOAD are the same as standard MS-BASIC - they load / save through the cassette interface. So load / save to whichever device you prefer.

SSAVE, SLOAD are serial versions of BSAVE and BLOAD at 9600 Baud, again through the cassette interface, only we've modified the outputs to be SIO - so you would need a MAX232 converter to connect to PC serial / USB serial. You can also *buy* the bluetooth adapter and expand these to load / save to any bluetooth compliant storage, for example, smartphone or tablet.

SCSL is the same as CRUN, but for SIO only.

Hi, after a long break, i finally managed to run all tests on the CSL Cart...
- Loading and Saving in all formats and to Audio and Bluetooth...
- running and autorunning various binary programs, Cart-images and Basic proggies...
- running a Memorytestprogram
- Checking all the Basic-commands from the Salora Manager manual (including finding an original Bug (SPC and TAB do the same thing...))

Everything tested OK!!!!!

So it was time to solder the first boards together! (what a lovely view ;0))

Now i only need to apply labels, find a suitable package... This should be very soon ;0)

The first boards will be offered here in the forum in a few days...

@Madrigal: Yes, the one with serial #1 is reserved for you!

Will a manual be provided with the package?
Any idea of the price for the lot (CSL module + audio interface) + shipping to Europe or Australia?

Hi,

I am working on the Manual right now, but i think i will provide it in *pdf Format and not print it out... that way it can be updated regular if needed... maybe a small printed "QuickStart" guide...

No final Price settled yet... but SOON"!!!!

Ciao, TOM:0)
