CeeVee Player

Talk about programming CreatiVision (except games programming). Projects of homebrew hardware are also welcome.

CeeVee Player

Post by @username@ » Sat Nov 29, 2014 3:40 pm

Here is a direct port to 6502 of the original Z80 ColecoVision player. This is a player which is to be called in every interrupt when music and/or fx are playing.

The song format is extremely well documented, so should be easy to implement.

Hopefully, the attached source and Spy Hunter demo will provide enough information for most developers.

The code is not under any licence and you are free to use and abuse it as you see fit.

thanks for posting here, you know i use it in my tetris game. I replace with my own player because i am a fan of the ColecoVison Soundbanks and format, i have enjoy to develop for the Coleco in the past.

There are amazing effects possible, try some of the Daniel Bienvenu demo`s (ColecoVision Master). And your player is amazing fast, i use also in the Skramble and Color Maze without any problem.
