Starfield demo

Talk about programming CreatiVision (except games programming). Projects of homebrew hardware are also welcome.

This version has 32 stars and they're now or'd on top of each other, if a character is already used.
The stars are also moving slowly in the middle and increasing in speed as the reach the border.
If you follow a single star, you don't really notice it, but the overall effect is very nice, it really gets more depth.
You can compare it to the previous version, it really makes a big difference.

This has 16 slower stars and 8 faster stars. I also tweaked the angles and starting points a little.
The source code is still messy.

I think you should consider developing a Gyruss-style game for the CreatiVision :)

All those starfields are cool. Soon now I have more homebrew demos in my ROMS folder than I have actual released games...

I do see them blinking... but they blink very fast.

Stars 5 + Gyruss stars 3 on real hardware:

Sorry that 2/3 of the video is static while I change the DIP switches.

Also I remember now that I have a newly bought USB TV stick right in front of me, that I could use to capture TV much better than filming it with a camera.
