I was able to test a game I'm creating, as a ROM image on the Dick Smith Wizzard, through a CSL cart and the audio interface.
I ran into a problem with smbloader created WAVE files. They would either not finish loading or occasionally create a loading error. It turns out I needed to set the pulse width to 48 for them to load. It seems the default value is 49 or 50.
Is this a common value, or does it depend on factors such as the age of the machine or even the video standard?
This is my 10th TM9918/28/29 based machine to get the software running on actual hardware. In many cases I also support a ROM and a cassette or disk image. I have a Casio PV-2000 on the way, but I still need to find a way to get a cartridge for it. The software has already been adapted for it. The last system would be the Hanimex Pencil II, and I don't expect to find one of those any time soon.
