Hello!

I'm Anders from Sweden, aged 33. I've been involved in home computers since I was nine years old and spent most of my days in Commodore land: VIC-20, C64, Amiga 500 and 1200.

About 2.5 years ago I begun to expand my collection and now own about twenty different vintage computers: a few VIC-20s, some C64s, C128, C128D, various PETs, CBM 610 (!), CBM 710 (!!), B500 (!!!), Amiga 1200, Atari 800XL, 130XE, Acorn Electron, BBC B, BBC Master Compact, Philips VG-8235 MSX2, ZX Spectrum, Sord M5 (!), COMX-35 (!!) and perhaps something else I forgot...

... yes, well this is a creatiVision forum so I suppose I should mention that I own one of those with a bunch of boxed games (plus the multicart of course) as well as a ... vTech Laser 2001 (!!!), the home computer version of the creatiVision. Unfortunately keyboard programs like Basic isn't compatible with the Laser 2001, and its own Basic is completely different from the cartridge one.

Actually, the creatiVision I bought in April this year was my first video game console ever, quickly followed by a loose Intellivision but that is as far as I go when it comes to video games. No Atari VCS or Colecovision, no NES (*) or SMS, definitely no SNES, MD or anything newer. Modern video games like the PS2, PS3, Xbox, Xbox360, GC, Wii etc bore me to death. Actually I do own a Sony PSP though for killing time when I'm away or travelling, but I rarely use it.

(*) I bought a boxed, near mint NES a month ago but instantly sold it for the same amount I paid.

My main system of choice is still the VIC-20, which I know best and have developed a couple of games, music routines and other things for. As the creatiVision has the wonderful (?) combination of a 6502, a TMS video and SN sound chip, I hope that some day I will find time and resources to develop something for it as well. I already tried to understand the TMS chip, and I'm sure we'll have some interesting exchange on the forum. At least I should be able to write crappy Basic games, although the creatiVision Basic is a bit too limited for my taste.

Dear Anders,

it's always a pleasure to meet you, thanks for coming. :)

You forgot to mention that you're part of the "Vic-20 Mega-cart" project, so I'll mention that for you. ;)

Now stop chatting and send me the pics of the Swedish creatiVision you promised me last January! :D
