just want to say hello to the world of creativision and all it's serious collectors: Hello!!
i am born in 1968 in the heart of the black forrest which is located in the south of germany. i played pong in 1977 using my neighbor's universum pong he gave me for just one weekend. my parents weren't amused about such stupid electronic toys so i never owned any videogame console onyl lego
it was then around 1985 when a big flower box fell on my head due to heavy stormy weather. well i got some smart money from the insurance of the owner of the flower box and i immediately bought me a c-64. that´s when videogaming started to become real in my life. from 1989-1998 there was a pause until i got an old 3/86 pc. not very satisfying for gaming.
then in 2000 i had the idea to buy me an old pong console on ebay - the one my parents did not let me have in my childhood. in fact there were a lot of nice old retro consoles so i bought more than only one pong - i bought 1500 consoles in the past few years to be honest. due to problems of storage i resold many of them in the last years and only kept a handful of 1200 in my collection which are still here now.
i guess it was in the first few weeks of collecting in 2000 when i first saw a creativsion which i immediately bought for 100DM which is around 50 euro. in fact it was a laser 500 sold by a friend of dieter who owns CCC. dieter still has the box of that system but i was not able to persuade him to let me have the box although i offered him very nice systems like a loose interton vc4000 or an atari vcs2600
anyway the creativision is one of the nicest systems i have so it was only consistent to start on collecting creativision stuff. i now have... hmm luca knows better what i have - he knows everbody's collection better than the original owners.
