Eprom Simulator

Talk about programming CreatiVision (except games programming). Projects of homebrew hardware are also welcome.

Looking cool. One practical question though, I seem to recall that Creativision cartridges are inserted with component side down, i.e. chips will face your desk rather than you. If I'm right, it means you'll have to position your Creativision console in such way it has empty space quite a bit below the cartridge port, perhaps put the console itself on a cardboard box to leverage it.

Or perhaps I don't understand the function of the USB ROM emulator, is it more of a Flash programmable unit which you detach from the chip between each programming?

yes, i must switch my CV to use this one. But is no problem, is only my dev. CV.
For the CV is a real eprom with the same access time, this is important because here a the most simulators have problems.
No need to detach, you can read and write every to. The simulator is connected to the pc with usb and you can write the every time, then reset the CV and go on.
But the simulator is very expensive and i only buy one because later when TOM is finish, i can sell to a friend who need this in his job.

Ah, I never considered the option to turn the console upside down, as the controllers anyway are detachable and you only need a way to access the reset button. Good luck then!

its not about luck, is about how to do.
The plastic part from the reset button is removed, this is clear i think.
Then there is no problem with the controllers and no problem with the reset button. There are a lot ways to perform a reset, but not a lot ways to have such a nice way to test your homebrew stuff BEFORE Tom is finish the cart.

Heh... I meant good luck as in "best wishes", not that you need luck on your side to have it work. :D

Nice!
Also quite a reasonable price, by the looks of things.
