Multirom cart - UPDATE

Ok, I didn't consider which side is up or down, and how tight the cartridge fit would be.

But in case anyone would consider making future PCBs closer to C64 dimensions, here are a few resellers with very cheap shells:

As you can see, 3 zloty equals about 0.75 Euro which would be a good starting point if the shell somehow could be used.

Carlsson: are you sure the C64 cartridge box fits the CreatiVision slot?

If so, you could use the shells for your forthcoming Reversi game

so...i had some time to compare different carts:
c64 against a creativision one = too big (just a few millimetres....)
intellivision some millimetres again too big
coleco way too big
vectrex way too big ....
atari 2600 waaay too big

creativision carts are the smallest of the lot
just a quick physical comparison nothing scientific.

After a close inspection between Mouse Puzzle and Action Replay Mk 6, it seems the Creativision cartridge indeed is 63 mm wide, 17 mm deep and 78 mm tall (not that important), while the C64 cartridge is 67 mm wide, 19 mm deep and 88 mm tall. Currently I don't own any Intellivision carts, but I seem to remember they used to be much more slim than C64 cartridges. Possibly width wise the wouldn't fit in a Creativision anyway.

For refence, the Handic style shell I used with my Laser 2001 is 62 mm wide, 18 mm deep and 96 mm tall, but it is a such design that the card edge to most part is exposed and a much smaller part of the cartridge needs to go inside the connector.

So we're about 4 mm x 2 mm away from getting very cheap plastic shells.. too bad.

By the way, is there a list of which pieces of software that comes with the Multirom? MADrigal's newsletter said it has different programs than the previous Multicart, are there any previously unreleased gems or a combination of the software on the Multicart, Diagnosticart and new dumps/fixed ROMs of the old games?

it is 19mm x 63mm ...

btw: Intellivision Carts are nice 17mm high, but 68mm wide... :0(

Hello guys, here some details for Multirom.

Multirom price is 39 euro.

Multirom in kit (must be welding / not numbered) is 35 euro
Shipping cost for registered mail:
Italy = 6,50 euro
Europe/Mediterranean area = 9,50 euro
Usa/South America/Asia/Africa = 12 euro
Oceania = 13 euro
The package include Box, Multirom card and a simple manual (4 pages). All cards has been tested and numbered, starting from #02.
Only 22 MULTIROM are available.
Payment can be place using Paypal ("Gift", or you have to add fees) or bank money transfer.
Italian guys can use Postepay too. Please ask for preferred payment data.

Please take note, I can go to send Multirom once a week, on saturday. My real job is another one..
