Previously we discussed the possibility to use one set of character based graphics to draw multiple images, i.e. for a semi-graphical text adventure in the future.
Here are the results of the Plain PETSCII Graphics Competition 2013, of which many are pure works of art and you have to look closely to determine those are not using custom characters or pixel graphics. Technically the VIC-II and VDP pose different challenges, so those images would need to be analysed in order to convert any, but it is inspiring to see.

Lovely pictures indeed!
I have always spent lots of times doing graphics with PETSCII back in the 80's, on my C64. I used to program with BASIC and PETSCII almost every day!
It's great to see that there's still people having fun with that!
