It is a lovely post!!! Thanks so much for sharing. I particularly like the 3d model of the cartridge.

Unfortunately I had to reverse the Composite mod, for now as it lead to instability. I'll be trying a slightly different mod next weekend with luck.
(Symptoms suggested the mod was generating power issues. I was seeing strange colour effects and even blocks or corruption. I'll try completely removing connections to the RF modulator initially, and if that still doesn't work, I'll follow a suggestion from Clockmeister involving a booster transistor.)
