Hi everyone,
I found the forum after building an 8 bit computer capable of running Creativision software - the MECB from Greg in NZ.
It reminded me of my first computer back in the early '80s, before that I had been interested in electronics but never had any hands on experience until I was given an old Ohio C1P - I never looked back and soon pretty much knew the machine inside out and made a few expansion cards for it learning as I went along. More recently my retro computer building has been with FPGAs and PC emulations. Last year I spent a lot of time building interfaces using modern micros to drive vintage aviation instruments. I then started to try repairing my old 8 bit home made computer without success and built a new one to test the components on, so now I have a real 8 bit micro again and I'm keen to try basic and see how it copes with colour on the MECB with its TMS9918.
Best regards, David.
