Composite AV output planned!
Re: Composite AV output planned!
yes i am very satisfied, i only test with one very old commodore monitor.
And my cable is to long, but i don`t want search a better today.
But with all this the picture is okay for me, is very clear.
Not so bright like my VC-20 with the same old monitor.
I give a little more color and contrast and then was perfect.
Is very interesting now how the picture looks an modern TV, i test tomorrow.

Re: Composite AV output planned!
i forget about the panel.
I have use the original because i have some more.
But when i mod my other CreatiVison, is not a MKII, then i use an additional because i have more time.

Re: Composite AV output planned!
Have you come across a pile of broken Creativision units which you reuse the cases and controllers from?
I figure 3D printing may be useful for getting spare back panels, whether they're suited for composite video or even some RGB output eventually. If the latter, it might be a good idea to settle for some connector and pinout that already is used, either a DE9 (CGA-ish but analog RGB) or a 6-pin DIN (Amstrad CPC analog RGB, while the European TI-99/4A has component video output on a this type of connector).

Hi Carlsson,
Great Ideas!
I will try to fit my CreatiVision with a TI-99/4A style DIN connector, so i can use my French RGB Modulator... (or the homebrew MSXRGB)...
Greetings TOM:-)

Re: Composite AV output planned!
Update on the RGB-mod...
It works perfect now!!!! i inserted a 75ohm resistor in the R-Y channel (to ground) and now i have a perfectly clear and colorfull Picture!
Amazing Quality!
I will redraw a schematic when i have sparetime...

Even greater news with every update, thanks much Tom!
I cant wait to have your tutorial and layout schemes, to put on the CreatiVEmu public website

Re: Composite AV output planned!
Yes Tom,
this is amazing.
I take today a pic from your A/V mod i make, is from a old TV.
Not bad, in real is better than the pic i take.
But your RGB is the final solution.

Re: Composite AV output planned!
I came across Clockmeister's site, and it looks to me as he also has made an AV mod on his Wizzard? See the last picture, or perhaps all the cables are fooling me.

Re: Composite AV output planned!
Yes, Looks like a AV Mod. Interesting that he make a new multicart.
Re: Composite AV output planned!
Hi, i do not think it is an AV mod, because you can see the other end of the yellow chinchcable just behind the PSU...
I think it is "only" an antenna signal.
