» 6th October, 2000

One exact year ago I released Motor Cross, that's my first handheld simulator and my very first experience as a professional videogame programmer.

I programmed 15 handhelds simulators during the past year, and I got satisfied with most of them. But the very most satisfactions come from the several nice emails I receive from users almost daily. I really couldn't figure out I would score such a big success!

It's been a busy year and I wish I'll be more capable in programming. My goal is to release better simulators for you. Thanks to the friends I met through the web, fans, webmasters and contributors!

THANKS PEOPLE!

I just got an e-mail from my good friend Robert Kacsich, the talented programmer behind the Coleco Head to Head Soccer and Neko Don Don! simulators. Robert told me about his own way to retouch game graphics. I found his suggestions very interesting and I wish to share them with you.

I believe they might turn useful to people who are planning to program their own handheld game simulator. The file has been added to the tutorial - end of chapter 2).

On a side note, I just received an e-mail from Robert Kacsich, author of the great Coleco Head-to-head Football Simulator. He told me that he's releasing his second simulator soon, that's Neko Don Don! by Katatoku. The simulator will be ready in a few days!

Last but not least: I'll leave for a holiday in a couple of days, so don't expect more news until August 15th: the seaside awaits me! :-)
